2027 Admissions
Parents are kindly reminded that Alberview Primary is a fee-paying government school. All prospective parents are required to familiarise themselves with the School Fees Policy, which can be accessed via the link provided.
In addition, parents are expected to read and understand all school policies, as these form the foundation of our school’s values, expectations, and procedures. All policies are available on the School Policies page and should be reviewed before submitting an application.
Please note that Grade 1 admissions are managed by the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE). Placement for Grade 1 learners is done exclusively through the GDE Online Admissions Portal at:
https://www.gdeadmissions.gov.za/
Applications for all other grades are handled directly by the school. Kindly refer to the information below for further details regarding availability, required documentation, and the application process.
HOW TO APPLY
GRADE R ADMISSIONS 2027
- Child must be turning 6 in 2027 (born in 2021).
- As our Grade R is run privately by the School Governing Body and not the Department of Education, prospective applicants must be a resident within our feeder zone in order to be eligible for admission or have a sibling (biological brother/sister- not a cousin) already enrolled at Alberview.
- Please note that our SGB selects the successful 30 applicants.
- All documentation must be emailed to the school: admissions@alberview.org.za
- Ensure applications are completed in full.
- If you are unable to send documents via email, please place documents in an envelope with the child’s name and Grade you are applying for and drop off at the office.
- School fees for 2026 are R32 817.08 for the year (R2734.76 per month for 12 months). This is likely to increase every year.
- Our Grade R pupils do not automatically progress to Grade 1. Parents need to apply online via the GDE website when applications open for the new academic year.
- Please ensure you read through the application form carefully and submit all documents requested and fill in all fields.
- Incomplete forms will not be processed.
PROOF OF RESIDENCE
- Please see attached what is required as proof of residence.
- We DO NOT accept the hand written document from the municipality or affidavits.
- We reserve the right to confirm residence via a home check or through CeeBees.
GRADES 2-7 ADMISSIONS FOR 2027
- All documentation must be emailed to the school. Please email admissions@alberview.org.za
- Ensure applications are completed in full.
- If you are unable to send documents via email, please place documents in an envelope with the child’s name and Grade you are applying for and drop off at the office.
- Please apply to more than one school as we cannot guarantee placement.
- School fees for 2026 are R20 649.45 for the year ( R1720.78 per month for 12 months). This is likely to increase year-on-year.
- Please ensure you read through the application form carefully and submit all documents requested and fill in all fields.
- Incomplete forms will not be processed.
- Outcome will be given in November.
PLEASE NOTE:
Applications will be placed onto the relevant waiting lists as per admissions guidelines issued by the GDE namely:
Waiting list 1: the applicant learner’s place of residence is within the school’s feeder zone.
Waiting list 2: the applicant learner has a sibling (brother or sister-NOT cousins) attending the school.
Waiting list 3: the place of employment of at least one of the applicant learner’s parents is within the feeder zone of the school.
Waiting list 4: the applicant learner’s place of residence is within a 30 kilometer radius of the school.
Waiting list 5: the applicant learner’s place of residence is beyond a 30 kilometer radius of the school.
